Bike-a-Bee is an urban farming initiative started by one woman, Jana Kinsman. Jana manages and installs hives all over Chicago in urban farms and gardens to serve as educational tools and public examples of the magic of pollinators. They do all their work via bike and have hives on the roof of The Plant.

Great American Cheese Collection 

  • Representing more than 45 family and co-op producers, The Great American Cheese Collection is the single largest and finest source for America’s specialty cheeses. It is our mission to bring together excellent quality, delicious tasting, small production cheeses from around the USA. Through this single source we make them more available to chefs in restaurants and food service and to the public via retail stores and farmers markets.

Nick Greens

Nick Greens is a hydroponic farm dedicated to producing the healthiest and most delicious microgreens in Chicagoland. Nick started his project as a Plant volunteer and has since then sprouted into a full-time business. You can find his microgreens at Plant Chicago’s Monthly Market at The Plant.

Patchwork Farms is a partnership of two friends, Katie Williams and Molly Medhurst, who share a passion for serving their community by growing and selling delicious and nutritious fruits and vegetables.
