Crowdfunding is all the rage—and with the passage of the JOBS Act, securities-backed crowdfunding for small companies has become a reality. But do you know the legal requirements?
Brian Knight, CrowdCheck Director of Entrepreneur Services, will visit The Plant and offer insight into the rights and responsibilities that come with crowdfunding including how the law has changed, what companies are eligible, how much you can raise, and the challenges of crowdfunding. Questions will be taken at the end.
The free presentation will run from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, July 12, at The Plant. Registration is required: Simply drop an email with your name and number of guests to Michelle at mpeterson[at]plantchicago.com. There’s a 40 seat limit, so be sure to sign up soon.
