Our Outdoor Farm Coordinator, Kate Purvis, is offering two workshops on gardening & growing. The first is Organic Vegetable Gardening on Tuesday, July 24th from 6:30-8:00pm. Kate will cover: soil preparation, seeds vs. plants, garden maintenance, watering techniques, vermin avoidance, fertilizing, trellising, and succession planting. Container gardening will also be covered.
The second workshop will be a Cocktail Garden Workshop where you can learn to grow your own cocktail herb garden on Saturday, July 28 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Learn how to use all kinds of herbs in mixed drinks––and try some onsite! (So, sorry, but you do have to be 21 to attend.)
