We are excited to announce a new volunteer program! The vast majority of our work is done by volunteers and as we continue to renovate The Plant, we have greater need for specific kinds of help. So, we’ve now have two opportunities for volunteers: the Public Volunteer Program and the Volunteer Corps Program.
The Public Volunteer Program is for anyone interested in helping out on a casual basis, similar to how we’ve always done, but the days have changed! Anyone can volunteer on our new Public Volunteer Days every Tuesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A safety waiver and rsvp to volunteer@plantchicago.com are required.
The Volunteer Corps Program is for those folks who want to help out over the long term. We’re looking for folks who want to come in at regular times for between three and six months to one of the following activities:
- Tour Guides
- TLC (help us clean up!)
- Indoor Farming
- Outdoor Farming
- Bookkeeping
- Construction
- Events
