Scheduling a Group Tour of The Plant
Group tours of The Plant are available for groups of 10 or more people with a minimum fee of $80 per tour, and are generally available on the following dates at times:
- Thursdays: 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m.
- Saturdays: 12 p.m., 4 p.m.
Please check our public calendar to see if the time you would like is open, and, depending on our tour guides schedules, we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Email us at tours[at]plantchicago.com to see if the date and time you want is available. Please email us (rather than calling) to schedule a tour; while we do have a working phone number, we strongly urge you to email our staff to schedule tours as our working situation is such that email is much easier for us to manage. Thank you for your understanding.
Also, please realize that we do hope to expand the available times for private group tours in the future, but are limited by the availability of our very small staff and tour volunteers.
Tickets
- Adults: $10 per person
- School groups, College Students, Seniors: $7 per person
- Back-of-the-Yards Neighborhood Groups: Free, with proof of address
Please note: Group tours require a minimum payment of $80 per tour, regardless of final number of attendees.
Purchasing Tickets
Make sure to schedule a tour with us before purchasing tickets. Group tours must be paid for with a single payment. Tours over 30 people require a deposit of $100. You can pay using a check made out to Plant Chicago, NFP; PayPal; or credit card. After we confirm your tour, we’ll send you instructions for using PayPal or a credit card.
